Citizens’ Dialogue in Gent with Karel De Gucht

The first debate on the future of Europe in Belgium took place in Ghent with European Commissioner for Trade Karel De Gucht and Jordi Vaquer, director of the Open Society Initiative for Europe. Under the general title of “The Future of Europe: integration or disintegration?”, an audience of mostly young people from all over Europe and Flanders discussed about the current economic crisis, Europe’s legitimacy and the need for a “European dream”.
