Une des cing légendaires Forteresses Volante B-17G (X 483872 X) s’est écrasée après avoir été percutée lors d’un vol de démonstration au Wings over Dallas Air Show, par un avion de chasse P-63 Kingcobra, sur la queue par l’arrière gauche, au Dallas Airshow ce samedi 12 Novembre 2022. (Dallas Exécutive Airport, RBD).
L’on déplore six morts, dont 5 formant l’équipage du vétéran B-17G et le pilote solo du P-63.

Transferred to the US Navy in 1945 and given the Bureau No. 77235 (the same name: B-17G). Retired in 1956, she flew on survey work for the Aero Service Corporation between 1957 and 1967 before joining the Confederate Air Force (CAF) in Texas. She is still based in Texas and is still operated by the CAF, although the organisation has now been renamed as the Commemorative Air Force.
She is seen re-enacting a famous scene from the movie ‘Tora Tora Tora’ during a simulated attack by members of the Commemorative Air Force’s Pearl Harbour re-enactment group. 2019 Wings over Houston Airshow. Ellington Airport, Houston, Texas.
